Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a slow, meditative practice that targets deep connective tissue by holding poses for longer, typically 3-5 minutes. This gentle yet sustained approach helps improve flexibility, joint mobility and circulation.
Unlike more dynamic yang-style yoga, Yin focuses on stillness and surrender, allowing muscles to relax so the stress is placed on ligaments, tendons and fascia.
The key principles include:
-
Finding your edge - settling into the pose at just the right intensity
-
Holding stillness - allowing time for the body to release tension
-
Softening into the posture - encouraging relaxation rather than force.
Beyond the physical benefits, Yin Yoga is deeply calming and helps to reduce stress, promoting a stronger mind-body connection. It's the perfect practice for slowing down, tuning in and creating balance.

Vinyasa Yoga
Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic and flowing style of yoga that synchronises breath with movement, creating a continuous sequence of poses. Each movement is linked to an inhale or an exhale, creating a dance-like flow around the mat.
Vinyasa Yoga builds strength, flexibility and balance while also enhance cardiovascular endurance due to it's dynamic nature.. The rhythm of breath and movement helps reduce stress, enhance focus and promote relaxation.
Typically starting with Sun Salutations, the intensity can vary depending on the class. The beauty of Vinyasa is it's adaptability - you can progress at your own pace, making it a sustainable and accessible form of yoga for long-term wellbeing.
Join in, or just lie on your mat and breathe – everyone is welcome!
